Kyle Walker breaks his silence as new Arsenal bust-up footage emerges - four Man City stars caught up in melee

Man City defender Kyle Walker has broken his silence after a furious bust-up with Arsenal coach Nicolas Jover on Sunday (8 October).

Walker, 33, clashed with the Gunners backroom staff after City’s 1-0 loss against Mikel Arteta’s side at the Emirates Stadium.

Tensions were running high after the full-time whistle with several players involved in the altercation, including striker Erling Haaland.

Footage on Sky Sports showed Walker squaring up to set-piece coach Jover, before being led towards the tunnel by stadium security.

And as seen above, new footage posted to X by DailyAFC on Monday (9 October) from the home fans’ perspective showed Walker seemingly upset with something said by the Arsenal man.

A number of City stars, including Haaland, Matheus Nunes and Phil Foden, can be seen in the melee.

Walker has since broken his silence on the disappointing loss but chose not to mention the incident after the full-time whistle.

Taking to his Instagram (9 October), he said: “Back-to-back defeats is a level we cannot and will not accept.

“We have a period of time now to put things right and regroup and show everyone our true level. Thank you for your support today.”

Man City boss Pep Guardiola also remained coy on the cause of the fracas in his post-match press conference.

He said: “I know what happened, but I don’t want to say. They know it.”

Following the losses against Arsenal and Wolves, City have dropped down to third in the Premier League table – behind the Gunners and Tottenham.

Walker, who signed a new contract running until 2026 last month, will have to put the incident behind him when he joins up with the England squad this week.

The right-back has started in 11 of a possible 12 games for Guardiola’s side in all competitions this season.
