'Hands down, worse in a Spurs shirt' - Tottenham fans react to Yves Bissouma's display in win v Crystal Palace

Tottenham fans have slammed Yves Bissouma despite an impressive turnaround to his career under Ange Postecoglou.

Football Insider has been gathering the reaction of Spurs fans after Bissouma returned to the starting line-up to face Crystal Palace on Friday (27 October).

The 27-year-old was absent from the game against Fulham last week due to a red card suspension after he picked up two bookings against Luton Town on the previous gameday.

Bissouma has become a regular starter under Postecoglou but is facing a risk of suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards if he picks up another booking.

The midfielder played 64 minutes in the 2-1 win over Palace and was replaced by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who also filled in last week during Bissouma’s absence.

Despite an impressive start to the 2023-24 campaign, fans were less than impressed with Bissouma’s performance on Friday.

One Spurs fan claimed it was the Mali international’s “worst game of the season”.

One suggested it was his “worst performance” since joining Tottenham.

One thought it was Bissouma’s worst display since Postecoglou took over.

Another was surprised by Hojbjerg’s positive impact and insisted Bissouma needs to be more “arrogant”.

One fan claimed that if Hojbjerg was in Bissouma’s place, he would have been “getting pelters”.

One suggested Bissouma summed up the entire Tottenham performance.

Another suggested the game against Palace wasn’t the first time there has been a slip up from Bissouma.
